Transition from Pharma to Consumer
Dr. Mehmood Khan is the Chief Scientific Officer of PepsiCo. He is an Endocrinologist by training and most recently was the President of Takeda Pharmaceuticals R&D. Prior to Takeda, Dr. Khan was with the Mayo Clinic as the Director of the Diabetes, Endocrine and Nutrition Clinical Trials Unit in the division of Endocrinology. Dr. Khan will speak to his personal transition from focusing on a traditional pharmaceutical business to his far more consumer facing role now and what it means for Consumer Medicine in general.

The Serial Entrepreneur: Looking Back, Looking Ahead
J. Andy Corley is corporate vice president and global president, Surgical Products, for Bausch & Lomb. In 1998, Andy co-founded eyeonics, Inc., which developed a new category of intraocular lens — the accommodating IOL — for use in cataract replacement surgery. He gained FDA approval for innovative crystalens® in 2003, and spearheaded a five-year effort to change CMS policy to allow Medicare beneficiaries to choose presbyopia-correcting IOLs. Eyeonics was acquired by Bausch & Lomb in 2008. Andy has held various executive positions at American Medical Optics and Allergan Pharmaceuticals. He was co-founder of Chiron Ophthalmics, where he played a key role in the introduction of LASIK surgery. Andy is a successful serial entrepreneur who brings a spirit of innovation to both product and organizational development
